Type of Project: Financial Management
Request: Donation Management
Location(s):  Various locations throughout Guatemala
Recipient: High school and college students

Most Guatemalans are only able to complete school through the 6th grade due to lack of family financial resources.  Lack of education and educational resources contributes to the cycle of poverty that the majority of Guatemalans live in.  Fully aware of this fact, Trade Palms partnered with a missionary in Guatemala to help assist in the education of individuals by providing scholarship administration that enable students to further their education and help make a financial impact on their families.  It is our belief that by increasing the level of education, Guatemalans will have a better opportunity to get a good job making it possible for them to support their families and put additional family members through school.

Students interested in a scholarship provide an outline of the program they wish to study and provide a budget for the annual cost of the program.  Students accepted into the program are required to submit a monthly accounting of expenses and a progress report each semester.
