Baku Dental Oven Project
Type of Project: Loan
Request: Loan to purchase ceramic oven
Location(s): Baku, Azerbaijan
Recipient: Dr. Rovshan Aliyev
Dr. Rovshan Aliyev, a 1999 graduate of Azerbaijan State Medical University, opened a private dental clinic in 2001 in Baku, Azerbaijan named ImplantDent. Dr. Aliyev learned about Trade Palms through a World In Need (Azerbaijan) contact and solicited a loan for a ceramic dental oven to make dentures.
Dr. Aliyev’s desire was to open a laboratory for ceramic works which provide high quality ceramic dentures for regular prices. He also desired to serve the underprivileged believers in his community at a reduced price or for free. Dentures are an expensive item in his country and at times beyond reach of those with limited incomes.
As a Christ follower in a Muslim country, Dr. Aliyev felt a call to support his community, expand his business, and use its profits to support the spread of the Gospel in Azerbaijan. He is an active member of an evangelical church called Greater Grace Church. Dr. Aliyev has been actively supporting evangelical and missionary activities in Azerbaijan and in other Muslim countries through the profits created with the dental oven.
