Coffee Production Project - Santiago Jacinto

Type of Project: Loan
Request: Loan to purchase 3 parcels of land to produce coffee
Location(s): San Lucas Toliman, Solola, Guatemala
Recipient: Santiago Daniel Choguaj Jacinto

Santiago began working as a mason assistant at the age of 15. When he was 18, he became a journeyman mason. He is a privately contracted mason, working with businesses or families who need masonry work.

In an effort to provide additional income for his family and help secure their future, Santiago has asked Trade Palms for a loan to purchase three parcels of land designated for coffee plant production. His desire is to grow coffee as a business which will also give employment to others who can work in his fields.

Santiago has felt blessed by God in this opportunity Trade Palms has given him. After drifting away from the church over the last few years, he has been drawn back in by watching God provide with the help of Trade Palms. With the help and provision of God, he has in turn been able to help others as well.
